I WANNA BE A FLYING BIRD....
STRETCHING MY INGS TO THE HEAVEN AD HELL....
THE WILL TO BE FREE ......
THE WILL TO BE ME IS WHAT PREVAILS....
ALL I HAVE IS THIS CAGE....
I'M HERE,BEHIND THESE BARS.....
ALL SOLITARY, LONELY....
I WANNA BE ALIVE....
I WANNA BE ME...
I WANNA BREAK~FREE.... AND THEN......
I WANNA GET BONDED TO ALL NEW THINGS....
TO THINGS I FEEL....
TO THINGS I NEED.....
TO THINGS I WANT TO BE ME....
i wanna live being ME!!!
It started with the filling of forms , with all the files open, writing all the achievements in black and white….the Warden’s interview, getting shortlisted for the bigger one...and finally one is in the Principal’s chamber standing in front of the senior teachers of the school answering them all earnestly… one gets selected and then is the time one realises the meaning of responsibilities, faith, dignity, discipline, pride, honor, leadership, relations, teamwork, decision making and achievements......you start going to school not only to nurture yourself but your house. But yes it is not very easy being a prefect as it may seem… you have to do everything in a dignified, disciplined and ordered way as there are a hundred eyes watching you-teachers-the analysts and the students whom you serve as role models. You get a glimpse of the outer world dealing with pupils of all kinds-preparing for various competitions and sporting events, March past, special assemblies and the usual assembly turns …. For my juniors I would like to say that don’t miss the opportunity of being an appointment as it adds a lot to your persona…not every1 can get selected but at least give it a try because ”opportunity never knocks twice”. Winston Churchill said, ‘we make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.’ I have been able to meet and relate to many more people than I would have usually because of this role I’ve taken and received a great sense of accomplishment in lieu of my duties... Finally being chosen as a prefect has been the greatest privilege of my life and experience that I will never forget. It makes me both honoured and proud and here I take this opportunity to thank all the teachers who have vested their faith in me and given me this opportunity where I have seen so much success and have been able to manage such a fine bunch of people and work under such diligent teachers and seniors.
